Hebrews 9:27 KJV
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
85% OF AMERICANS SAY THEY ARE CHRISTIAN.
Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. 22 On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ 23 But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’
Jesus said that, there will be many who will come before him on judgement day, calling him Lord, but not being allowed to enter into Heaven. When you really look at the passage of Matthew 7:21-23. These were people who were convinced that Jesus was their Lord and Savior, but Jesus didn’t know them. These were people who probably attended church, read their bibles, maybe sang in the choir, lead sunday schools, maybe even were the pastors of churches, people who accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and savior but for some reason were not granted acesss to heaven. Why? What was the reason why they could not enter heaven? But more importantly, how can we know that we are not among those who will be cast into Hell and rejected by Jesus on Judgment day?
This film was made to show you what the Bible clearly says about judgment day. About who will go to Hell, and who will go to Heaven.
Revelation 20:12-13New Living Translation (NLT)
12 I saw the dead, both great and small, standing before God’s throne. And the books were opened, including the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books.13 The sea gave up its dead, and death and the grave[a] gave up their dead. And all were judged according to their deeds.
Matthew 16:27King James Version (KJV)
27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
1 Peter 1:17King James Version (KJV)
17 And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:
After taking a look at these 3 passages, we can see very clearly that we will be judged by what we have done. We will be judged by our deeds or in other words our works. But notice something, we are not judged by what we believed. None of these passages say we will be judged by our beliefs, but rather our actions. Now this is the part that is most important so you need to listen carefully.
Titus 1:16King James Version (KJV)
16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
Many profess to know God, but they deny him by their works. They are, as the verse says, disobedient to God. They don’t obey his commands and they commit sin.
John 5:28-29King James Version (KJV)
28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
Do you see what Jesus said? At the end of the world, at judgment day, Those who do good go to the resurrection of life. Those who do evil or do sin go to the resurrection of damnation. If your works are good and you obey God, you will go to the resurrection of life. If your works are evil and you commit sin, you will go the resurrection of damnation.
